Anisa was born and raised in Arizona and joined the Florence Project in August 2018. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2012 and her Master of Arts degree from Arizona State University in Social Justice and Human Rights in 2018. Anisa has a diverse background in the human and social services sector, serving many roles in direct services; Since the beginning of her professional career, she has worked in the non-profit sector. After spending four years in the Adult Program as a Legal Assistant, Anisa became the first Mission Engagement Associate at the Florence Project in August 2022. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the world, reading, and snuggling with her daughter Jordi; spending way too much money on Halloween and Día de los Muertos items; and all things Star Wars.
