Stephanie was born and raised in Arizona where she graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her time at ASU, she served as the Chief of Staff for Undocumented Students for Education Equity where she advocated for equitable access to education regardless of immigration status and helped establish the first scholarship fund open to undocumented students at ASU. Stephanie has been with the Florence Project since December of 2021. Prior to that, she worked with the Maricopa Community Colleges coordinating outreach efforts and helping first generation students and students of non-traditional backgrounds pursue a college education. Her experience receiving assistance from local non-profits, individuals, and organizations as she grew up fuels her passion to give back and advocate for her community. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys listening to music, language learning, and trying new foods.
Stay up to date with the Florence Project and our unwavering fight for immigrants' rights.
