Iris was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a proud daughter of Guatemalan parents who immigrated to the United States at a young age. Growing up, she spent most of her summers in Guatemala volunteering in public schools teaching basic English to native students, where she became passionate of working with children. In 2018, Iris earned her Associates in Administration of Justice with a concentration in Juvenile Probation. She continues to grow her education by attending Arizona State University and Majoring in Criminology with a minor in Psychology. She believes that all children are worthy of love, compassion and guidance which has motivated her to be a part of the children’s program at FIRRP. In her free time, Iris enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with family.
