Marisol was born in Los Angeles, California and is the daughter of Mexican immigrants who came to the states in the early 1980’s in search of a better future for themselves and their family. Marisol has lived in Arizona since the young age of 12. She is a first generation graduate, having graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Family Studies at The University of Arizona and a Masters in Social Work at Walden University. Prior to working at the Florence Project, Marisol worked 4 years as a support coordinator for children with developmental disabilities. In her spare time, Marisol enjoys hiking, traveling and reading books. Marisol is excited to be a part of the Florence Project and advocate in the best interest of the immigrant population.
