Jennifer was born and raised in the border town of Nogales, Arizona. She is a proud daughter of a Mexican immigrant from Sonora, Mexico. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona to continue her higher education at Arizona State University. Jennifer was able to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice, and a certificate in Socio-Legal Studies in May of 2020. Through her studies and her experience living in a border town, Jennifer developed a passion for immigration work/ advocacy. For the past few years, Jennifer has been working for both Arizona State University and the Judicial Branch of Arizona within Maricopa County and is excited to continue learning more about immigration work with the Florence Project. During her free time, Jennifer loves to travel internationally, hike, spend time with friends and family, and will happily greet any dog that passes her.
Stay up to date with the Florence Project and our unwavering fight for immigrants' rights.
