Jessica Plaza Rodriguez


Jessica is originally from Mexico City. After moving to Tucson, Arizona, she completed a doble major at the University of Arizona in Family Studies & Human Development and Spanish with an emphasis in Hispanic Literature. Jessica had the privilege to work with the Immigrant Student Center at the University of Arizona where Jessica supported students with immigrant backgrounds to navigate the university. In addition, Jessica also worked at the YWCA as a program coordinator. She co-facilitated programs and provided resources for the Latinx community.

Jessica is interested in building an environment that promotes equity for people of color and where the community is built through leadership, cultural enrichment, and communication. In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling and reading.
