Please join us in welcoming Edna Meza Aguirre, JD, CFRE to the Florence Project team! Edna will be joining us as the Director of Philanthropy beginning Monday, March 4, 2019.
Edna brings 16 years of development experience to the Florence Project, including seven years as the Regional Associate Development Director at Planned Parenthood Arizona. Most recently, she served as the Director of Development at University of Arizona Health Sciences in Tucson.
“The Florence Project devotes itself to making life better for immigrants,” Edna says. “They recognize the importance of treating immigrants with the dignity they deserve and providing the legal representation they need. I’m thrilled to be joining their dynamic team of professionals in fighting for the rights of all immigrants.”
Edna is a native Tucsonan and the proud first generation daughter of two immigrant parents. She was raised in both the U.S. and Mexico and is bilingual.
“This work is incredibly timely,” Edna added. “All immigrants deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. The Florence Project is there on the front line, doing this very work, standing with immigrants as they fight for their rights.”
We are excited to welcome Edna to our team!
