Diana was born in Cumpas, Sonora, Mexico and raised in Tucson, Arizona. In May 2020, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and obtained her Honors B.A. in Law and Spanish with an emphasis in Portuguese. Prior to working with the Florence Project, Diana worked with several organizations supporting the immigrant and refugee populations in Tucson. She interned at the Iskashitaa Refugee Network and the Consulado de México en Tucson’s Press Department promoting cultural awareness and managing all social media pages. Diana also worked in the Immigrant Justice Clinic at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. There, she worked as a translator/interpreter for law students, attorneys, and clients in the law clinic and detention centers. In her free time, Diana enjoys reading books, watching movies, and spending time with her family and friends.
