Million Dollar Match for Migrants

In the past year, immigrants seeking safety in the United States have faced unprecedented injustice. In Arizona, the number of people in detention has doubled. Families continue to be separated. Asylum seekers find themselves in an increasingly complex legal system. For thirty years, the Florence Project has been the only organization in Arizona providing free legal and social services to immigrants in detention. This year, our work has felt more daunting than ever.

We refuse to give up. We are committed to standing by our clients, whatever the circumstances. Our only option is to increase our services and advocacy, and we need your help.

The Florence Project is proud to announce a $1,000,000 matching gift pledge from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. Beginning today, all donations to the Florence Project will be matched dollar-for-dollar. Your impact is doubled, as is our ability to respond.

People come to this country in search of safety and a life free from harm. They deserve:

  • Just and humane treatment
  • Due process and protection of their rights
  • Their fair day in court and freedom from detention

Last year, the Florence Project served 3,468 adults and 7,290 children—including tender age children under the age of five. This year, help us serve even more.

Now is the time. Make your gift today.
