We are thrilled to announce that Gabriela Corrales is our new Director of Philanthropy!
Gabi has long been involved with the Florence Project, starting years ago as a Legal Intern, then as a Staff Attorney, a Managing Attorney, and now as Director of Philanthropy.
“I am so excited to transition to this new role with the Florence Project after representing unaccompanied immigrant children for almost four years,” Gabi says. “As Director of Philanthropy, I will have the opportunity to fight for and advocate on behalf of detained immigrants in Arizona in a new role and to represent the Florence Project in the Arizona community and beyond.”
Raised in Tucson, Gabi says she aspires to support her community however she can. This includes serving on the board of directors for the Marshall Foundation and Los Abogados, Arizona’s Hispanic Bar Association.
Gabi is a graduate of the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. Before going to law school, Gabi taught as part of the Teach for America program, helping various students win both regional and state science fair awards. Gabi also holds a Master’s in Education and graduated from the University of Arizona with a political science degree with Honors.
We are so excited to have someone with Gabi’s experience, enthusiasm, and dedication in this role.
